Luretta J. Teeter 66, of Cortland passed away December 1, 2009 in Syracuse, NY
Luretta was born April 6, 1943 in Pitcher the daughter of the late Thomas and Cora Thompson Lockwood.
Luretta had been employed at Smith Corona for several years, and enjoyed volunteering at several area nursing facilities; she was an avid doll collector.
Luretta is survived by her children Ronald (Cindy) Miller of Cortland, Earl Miller of Groton, James (Kelly) Miller of McGraw, Phillip Miller of Little York, Timothy Miller of Alabama, her sisters, Alice Pierce, Irene Hall, Lois Martin, sister in law Kay Lockwood. Brothers Richard, Charles, and Clesson Lockwood. 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, her companion of 19 years, John Pozella, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Luretta was predeceased by her husbands Ronald D Miller Sr and Edwin C Teeter Sr. brothers Erwin and William Lockwood, and sister Margaret Seager.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 pm Saturday at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home 9 Lincoln Ave, with the Reverend Matthew Smith officiating interment will follow in Cortland Rural Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call Friday evening from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
