Suggestions submitted based on (1) Samuel Artz, Find A Grave memorial #9769057; (2) Daily Kansas People, Osage City, KS, 13 Dec 1888, p. 3 which states "Dr. W. B. Artz returned yesterday from Nevada, MO . . . attend the funeral of his brother, who was killed in a well in Colorado. The Doctor brought home with him his niece 12 years of age, who will probably make her future home with him.".
