James Baker, Jr. who was injured in an automobile accident Saturday, July 12, 1930 near Highland barns, passed away at Warsaw hospital on Wednesday. The funeral services were held at St. Mary's church with Rev. Charles E. Kemp officiating and burial in the church cemetery.
James Baker was born in Warsaw on January 30, 1907, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Baker, Sr. coming to Silver Springs as a child of two months. He had been employed at Sinclair Oil Refinery in Wellsville since May. This was his first visit home and was accompanied by a friend, Paul Wheeler of Elmira who was the driver of the car. Surviving are his parents, three step brothers, William, George and Walter Nugent; two step sisters, Mrs. Frank Mullen and Mrs. Walter Carney, all of Silver Springs.
