Age 76 of Clinton was called to his eternal rest peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, December 14, 2005. Albert was born May 25, 1929 in Clinton and was preceded in death by hisparents Clarence and Adeline Ahrens. On July 25, 1953 he married Barbara Marion and she preceded him in death in May 1997. Albert and Barbara are survived by four children: Carol (Brad) Brown ofSaline, Roger (Cheryl) Ahrens of Clinton, Jeff (Lisa) Ahrens of Clinton and Brad (Kim) Ahrens of Saline. Albert enjoyed spending time with his six grandsons: Jason, Joshua, Creed, Alex, Carter andRidge. He is also survived by his sister, Betty Fox, brother-in-law, David (Dorothy) Marion of Clinton, brother-in-law: Francis (Margaret) Heckaman of Manchester and several nieces and nephews.Albert retired from Double A Products in Manchester after 37 years. He also was a life long farmer in Clinton. Albert served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a memberof Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Saline American Legion Post #322 and the Tri County Sportsmanís League in Saline. Besides his parents and loving wife, he was preceded in death by hissister Lois Heckaman. Funeral Service will be Saturday, December 17, 2005 at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church where he will lie in state at 1:00 P.M. until the time of service at 2:00 P.M.with Pastor Mark Smith and Pastor William Natsis officiating. Burial will take place at Lodi Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church or ArborHospice. Envelopes will be available at the Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Jenter Chapel in Manchester where the family will receive friends on Friday from 2-8 P.M.
