Funeral Services Are Held Friday For Mrs. Davant
Funeral services were held Friday morning at the First Methodist Church in Bay City for Mrs. W. E. Davant, wife of W. E. Davant, prominent Attorney. Mrs. Davant died Thursday at her home here.
The Rev. Marvin Vance officiated and burial was in the Cedarvale Cemetery.
In addition to her husband, Mrs.. Davant is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann and Kathryn; one son, J. E. "Ted" Davant III; two grandchildren, James Edward and Laura Carolyn Davant, all of Bay City; two brothers, J. A. Brigham of Pearland and H. E. Brigham of Houston.
Mrs. Davant was past matron of the Eastern Star Lodge, past president of the Chautauqua Club and of the P. R. A., and was active in civic affairs for a number of years.
