Edna Hollenbach, former innkeeper.
Edna F. Hollenbach, a retired co-owner of a Womelsdorf inn, died Dec. 18 at 5 a.m. in the emergency room of Reading Hospital. Hollenbach, 91, of 4070 Smaltz Road, Marion Township, was taken to the hospital from Manor Care Health Services Inc., Spring Township, where she had resided since Dec. 13. Her husband, John I. Hollenbach, died June 8, 1984. Hollenbach and her husband owned and operated the Conrad Weiser Inn, Womelsdorf, for 20 years, retiring in 1985. Born in Bern Township, she was a daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Schaeffer) Wayne. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, Womelsdorf. Hollenbach, who resided with Leonard Layser, is survived by a son,South Heidelberg Township. Other survivors include three sisters. There are also two grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Hetrick Funeral Home, Womelsdorf. Burial will be in Womelsdorf Union Cemetery.
