Mrs. Ellen Mary Donovan Gillerlain, 67, of 218 North Street, died at 1:30 a.m. yesterday in a Portsmouth hospital. She was the wife of Joseph P. Gillerlain and the daughter of the late Thomas and Mrs. Joanna O'Mara Donovan.

A native of Norfolk, she had been residing in Portsmouth for 45 years. She was a member of the St. Paul's Catholic Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Mrs. A. D. Harrison, of Ocean View; Mrs. F. W. Carson, or Portsmouth; Miss Virginia Gillerlain and Mrs. Glinn Simmons, of Portsmouth; three sons, Joseph D., Leo N. and Franklin H. Gillerlain, all of Portsmouth; 13 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a brother, William F. Donovan, of Norfolk.

The body was removed to the Richardson and Foster Funeral Home and was taken to the residence last night. Rosary services will be held here at 8 p.m. today. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Paul's Catholic Church. Burial will be held in St. Paul's Cemetery.
