Isaac Hillkirk & Minerva Buchanan were married on June 23, 1863 in West Middlesex, Pennsylvania and had nine children: Ida (died at the age of 6), Emma, Agnes, Jesse, John, Nana, Fred, William and Ralph.
Isaac was a Civil War soldier and was captured and imprisoned in Andersonville for eight months. He was released in December 1864 and mustered out with his company in 1865. He and Minerva lived the remainder of their married lives in Mercer County, Pennslvania.
