Born in Jefferson township on Feb 24, 1859, and had spent nearly all his life in Bethel where he was widely known and held in high esteem. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Millsop Buchanan; three sons, Robert and Frank, Sharon, and Hughey, at home; and three daughters, Nellie Buchanan, Hubbard, and Mrs. Ethel Parker and Mrs. Anna Currie, New Virginia.
