Fredericksburg, Tex., Dec. 28--Bernhardt Meckel, an old and highly respected citizen of this town, died yesterday morning at his residence, after a long illness at he age of 74 years, 5 months and 3 days. The funeral was conducted from the family residence this morning at 10 o'clock. Three children survive him at this place, two of his sons, Adolf and Ferdinand, being in business here.
