April 1, 1944. Mrs. Averill of McNeal Succumbs; Rites on Monday. Mrs. Eleanor Averill, wife of Frank A. Averill, of McNeal,

died at a local hospital early yesterday morning. She had been a patient there for some time.

Mrs. Averill had been a resident of Arizona for the last 29 years and had made her home in McNeal for the past 15 years.

She was born at Palmyra, Mo., Dec. 4, 1883, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel King. She is survived by her husband.

Funeral services will be held at the Porter and Ames chapel Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with the Rev. LeRoy Thomas,

pastor of the First Baptist church officiating. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.

She was first married to Charles Robert Echols about 1903, they were living at Artesia, Eddy County, New Mexico on the 1910 census. They divorced after moving to Bisbee, Arizona where she married Frank Arthur Averill on 1 Jan 1922 at Pima County.
