Services for Mickey J. Richards Sr., 62, of Clayton, who died Friday, Dec. 8, 2006, at his residence, will be 7:30 p.m. Monday at Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday with the Rev. Marvin Riggers officiating.

A private burial will follow under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. Monday until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Richards was born Aug. 7, 1944, in Natchez, the son of Earl Lee Richards and Myra Frances Richards. He was a resident of Clayton, a lineman for LP & T and he was a member of the Clayton First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly J. Richards of Clayton; son, Mickey "Rusty" Richards of Clayton; daughter, Misty Maynard and her husband, B.J., both of Ferriday; two sisters, Betty Sue Blaney of Baton Rouge and Jennifer R. Saucier of Watson, La.; and six grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be Butch Graves, Malcon Cain, Mike Clark, Ralph Hill, Elton Dawson, R.S. Smith and former employees of LP & T.
