Astoria, Nov. 5 (Special) - Charles Oscar Lindsey, 72, an Astoria resident for many years, died at his home yesterday afternoon a short time after becoming ill.
Born at Ipava Jan. 8, 1871, a son of James and Sarah Jane (Brown) Lindsey, he was married to Rebecca Danner, who survives. Five children, three sons and two daughters, preceded him in death. Two brothers, Elmer Lindsey of Petersburg, and Alonzo Lindsey of Ipava, survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Woodland Church of the Brethren at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon by the Pastor, the Rev. E. F. Shorty. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery.
