Awarded The French Legion Of Merit for fighting battles on French soil during WWII. One of three French First Army Commendations for the 933rd in their action in support of the French First Armored Division in French 1 DB, 1re Division Blindee) in the Vosges Mountains, period 15 - 25 October 1944, when the battalion rendered fire missions from Trougemont France at around
10,000-14,000 yards range. This letter helped the battalion earned its unit fouraggerre for its second Croix de Guerre.The French 1st Division Blindee and attached infantry attempted a thrust toward the Col d' Oderen (Oderen
Pass) from just south of Cornimont France. The 933rd supported this short lived offensive in miserable weather conditions of constant rain and cold.
The commanding French General de Lattre halted the offensive on 17 October. The Honorary Rank of KNIGHT comes with the award from the French government.

Tech 5 Sgt David Nathaniel Ray Williams
WWII North Africa
Was awarded Bronze Star for saving his buddies under fire. Put wounded on truck under Nazi fire and drove them to aide station and saved their lives.
He Said" He got tired of hearing them scream"
He went from North Africa into Europe.
All the way into Germany and never was wounded. He did fall on the ice in London England and broke his knee cap. Had to have half of knee cap removed.
