Mrs. Brodess was related to the Sadlers and McKenzies at Taylorville and Grove City, and also is a relative of Judge Frank Sadler of Chicago. Mrs. Brodess was a member of Grace Methodist church, uniting with the Methodist church when a young girl. She also was a worker in the W. C. T. U. She was a great reader and especially enjoyed her church papers. The body was taken, to Monson undertaking establishment and prepared for burial. Definite funeral arrangements await the arrival of relatives.

Mrs. Brodess was buried in the public mausoleum which was torn down in 1967 and her body was placed in a common grave in Greenwood.
