Irene was born March 16, 1923, in Chicago to the late John and Anna (Tadlus) Stanek. She married Clifford Strugalla on May 12, 1945, in Chicago. He preceded her in death May 2, 2010.
Irene enjoyed fishing in Boulder Junction and St. Germain. She was an avid reader, played poker and enjoyed cooking.
Survivors include two granddaughters, Suzanne (Jacob) Couture and Jennifer (Karl) Hassrick; two great-granddaughters, Estelle and Adele Hassrick; and longtime friends, Dorothy Radasta and Karen Bonwell.
She was preceded in death by her husband; and son, Michael.
