Albert "Rick" E. Agnew, 55, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2009, at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Rick was born in Wilkes-Barre, on November 24, 1953, and was a son of Betty Naugle Agnew Remley of Pikes Creek and the late Albert E. Agnew. He graduated from Lake-Lehman High School in 1971 and received an associate's degree in automobile technology from Penn Tech College, Williamsport. Rick owned and operated Agnew Service, Pikes Creek. He was also a NASCAR fan and liked to hunt and fish. Rick touched the lives of a great many people and was always willing to help anyone in need. He is dearly loved and will be missed dearly. He was a member of the Maple Grove United Methodist Church, Pikes Creek. His stepfather, Carl Remley Sr., preceded him in death. Surviving, beside his mother are his wife, the former Alecia Gritsavage; children Melinda Remley, Hanover Township; Justin Agnew and Kaitlyn Agnew, both at home: brothers Robert Agnew, Pikes Creek; Douglas Agnew, Harveys Lake; Carl Remley Jr. and his wife, Petrina, Eagle River, Alaska; Jay Remley and his wife, Debbie, of Cupertine, Calif.; David Remley and his wife, Nancy, Wyoming; sisters Carol Davis, Courtdale, and Denise Moyer and her husband, Thomas, of Litiz; grandchildren Emilyann and Patrick Remley Jr.; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home Inc., corner of routes 29 & 118, Pikes Creek, with Rev. Kenneth Brown officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek. Friends may call Tuesday, from 7 to 9 p.m. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be sent to the Maple Grove United Methodist Church, 5876 Main Road, Hunlock Creek, PA 18621.
