Mrs. Robert E. Christy
Mrs. Pearl Edith Christy, 79, of 923 Broadway St., East Butler, died last night in the Golden Hill Nursing Home, New Castle.
Born in Ringgold Township, Jefferson County, Nov. 14, 1900, she was the daughter of Elias and Lydia Catherine Bachtel Dinger.
She was a member of East Butler United Presbyterian Church.
Her husband, Robert E. Christy, died May 18, 1956.
Surviving are a son, Robert E. Christy of Chicora R. D. 2; four daughters, Mrs. Francis (Catherine Ellen) Lewis of Canton, Ohio, Mrs. Steve J. (Mary Jane) Vargo of East Butler, Mrs. Ben L. (Bettty Luceil) Ehrman of Butler, and Dolores M. Christy at home; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Melvin (Ellen) Burkett of Waverly, Ill., and a number of nieces and nephews.

CHRISTY--Friends of Mrs. Pearl Edith Christy of 923 Broadway St., East Butler, who died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 1980, will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday from the funeral home, with the Rev. Thomas McManus, pastor of East Butler United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in North Butler Presbyterian Cemetery. Arrangements by Thompson-Miller.
