Chesapeake - Age 56, of 1520 Jackson Ave, the wife of CECIL HAWKINS and a native of South
Norfolk, died Wednesday, January 29, 1975 in a Norfolk hospital. She was a daughter of Mrs.
LILLIAN G. ABBOTT. She was a credit department employee of Smith & Welton's Department
Store. She was president of Norfolk Chapter, Credit Women, International and member of
Chesapeake Avenue United Methodist Church, South Norfolk. Also surviving are a daughter,
Mrs. MARCECE H. KENNEDY and a son, CECIL REYNOLDS HAWKINS, both of
Chesapeake and 7 grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Friday, January 31, 1975 at 2:00
pm in Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk, by the Rev JAMES E. POWELL. Burial
will be in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will be at her mother's home, 1526 Jackson Ave,
South Norfolk.
