Mrs. Abbott was born in South Norfolk and had retired from L.B. Rock Jewelers. She was a member of South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church and the South Norfolk Women's Club. She was the widow of Sheldon R. Abbott.
Survivors include a granddaughter, Marcece H. Kennedy of Chesapeake; a grandson, Cecil Reynolds Hawkins of Suffolk; seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Francis A. Gay Funeral Home South Norfolk by the Rev. Amos L. Eby. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk. Friends may join the family from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
