Vickie Elliot, age 46, died Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at her home after a lengthy illness. Her memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, November 16th at Miller Funeral Home (507 S. Main). The family will be present to greet friends from 5-7 pm on Monday night at the funeral home.
Vickie was born February 13th, 1964 in Sioux Falls to Ray & Phyllis Elliott (Poppenga). She grew up and received her education in Sioux Falls where she graduated from Washington High.
Vickie was very athletic throughout her life as she participated in volleyball, basketball, and track throughout High school.
She played softball for many more years after which led her to many national tournaments.
Soon after graduation, she moved to Denver, CO where she lived and worked as a Veterinary Technician for 13 years before returning home to Sioux Falls.
Vickie went to work at Qwest and stayed there until illness forced her to leave. The most important thing to Vickie was family. She is survived by four sisters: Gloria Hutson, Mary Bly (Roger), Deb Hennig (Mark), and Lisa Frisbee; three brothers: Charles Tebben, Steven Tebben (Mary), and Michael Tebben and several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Also two very special feline friends: Megan and Riley.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis Goeman, father, Ray, three sisters: Robin Elliott, Patty Swartz, Linda Sletten and two brothers: Brian Tebben and Larry Tebben.
