Francis J. Loebach Sr., 77, of Peru, died Friday evening, June 2, at his home.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle. Burial will be in Peru City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today and one hour prior to services.

Mr. Loebach was born June 28, 1922, in La Salle, to William and Katherine (Klever) Loebach. He married Jean Meyer on Sept. 7, 1946.

He served in the Army overseas during World War II. He worked for Ameroch Corp. in Rockford for 40 years until retiring and moving back to Peru in 1986.

He is survived by his wife; three sons, Francis Jr. (Beverly) and Thomas (Cindy), both of Machesney Park, and Michael of Fort Madison, Iowa; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and five sisters, Katherine Schweickert of Hayward, Wis., Dorothy Hanlon of Seneca, Virginia Mason and Rita McAdamis, both of Spring Valley, and Patricia Loebach of Cucamonga, Calif.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.
