Mrs. Katherine E. Knoedler Tompkins, widow of George E. Tompkins, died at ther home on the Hunns Lake Road Tuesday following several weeks illness. She had been a resident of Bangall for 60 years. Her husband died in 1923. Mrs. Tompkins observed her 96th birthday in April. She was born in Germany, the daughter of the late John and Frederika Knoedler. Survivors are a daughter, Nora [sic] Tompkins and a son, Howard Tompkins, of Bangall; a brother, John Knoedler of Attlebury; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be hed Thursday... Burial will be in Stanford Cemetery.
