COOKEVILLE Funeral services for Fannie Olyne Jones, 83, of Cookeville, will be held at 1 p.m. on Wed., May 2, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. today, Tues., May 1, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Jones died on Sun., April 29, 2001, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
She was born on Feb. 1, 1918, in Celina to the late John Bedford and Lora Lee Stone Davis. Mrs. Jones was a homemaker and a member of the Methodist faith. She was the wife of a Methodist minister for many years.
Her family includes a daughter and soninlaw, Virginia and Ray Bailey of Cookeville; a son and daughterinlaw, David and Diana Jones of Muskegon, Mich.; three brothers, Paul, James and Andrew Davis, all of Celina; three grandsons, Mark Bailey of Cookeville, Andy Jones of Muskegon, and Bruce Jones of Charlottsville, Va.; and a granddaughter, Lora Jones of Muskegon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Jones; three sisters, Opal Boone, Betty Jean and Elise Davis; and two brothers, Arnold and Matthew Davis.
