He was preceded in death by his parents: Bedford and Lora (Stone) Davis; wife: Opal Ruby Davis; sons: Paul Edward "Dixie" Davis and Carl Thomas "Doolie" Davis; brothers and sisters: Olene Jones, Opal Boone, Arnold Davis, Betty Davis, Elise Davis, and Matthew Davis.
