LAKE CITY - The funeral for Doris Eileen Andrist will be 1 p.m. Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Pine Island, with the Revs. John Torris Lohre and Kip Groettum officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Island Cemetery.
Mrs. Andrist, 84, of Lake City, died Thursday (Nov 8, 2001) at Lake City Nursing Home.
Doris Kautz was born April 20, 1917 in Mantorville Township. She attended school in the Evartz district and West Concord High School. She married Arnold Willis Andrist on Feb. 12, 1938, in Berne, Minn. They lived in the Pine Island area. He died in 1978. She moved to Riveroaks in Lake City, where she lived for the past six years. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Pine Island and the Pine Island Senior Citizens Club. She enjoyed reading, singing and playing cards with her friends.
Survivors include two sons, Willard (Patti) Andrist of Lake City and Delmar (Bonnie) Andrist of Deer River; three daughters, Marlys White and Charlotte (Art) Davidson, both of Pine Island, and Denise (Mark) Robinson of Zumbrota; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Murray Kautz of Plainview, Gaylord Kautz and Daryl Kautz, both of Oronoco, and Francis Kautz of Eherenburg, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant daughter and an infant brother.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Mahler Chapel in Pine Island and an hour before the service Monday at the church.
