J Mat Taylor, aged 72, died at his home in Doyle, White county Sunday morning from cancer.
The deceased had long been one of the leading Republicans in White county. He was a member of the Burroughs Taylor Clothing Mfg Co. He always took an active part in all civic matters in White county and was instrumental in having the Broadway of America routed through White county.
He is survived by his wife , 1 son and 2 daughters.
