Joseph Schrenk, 84, a resident of Seymour for more than 60 years, died at the residence, 608 West Brown street, late Wednesday night.
Mr. Schrenk retired in 1940 after being employed for the past 39 years at the Seymour Manufacturing Company here. A native of Jennings county, he was born March 15, 1866, the son of the late Nathaniel and Mary Speck Schrenk. He moved to Seymour 63 years ago and married in this St. Ambrose Church, Mr. Schrenk was widely known and a host of friends mourn his death. During his long employment at the Seymour Manufacturing Company, he was known as an efficient and conscientious workman.
Besides his widow, he is survived by two sons; Ambrose P. Schrenk and Louis A. Schrenk, both of Seymour; a sister, Mrs. Thersa Sweaney of Seymour; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 9 o'clock Saturday morning from the St. Ambrose Church. Burial in the Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Voss Mortuary after 7 o'clock tonight. The Rosary will e recited at 8 o'clock Friday night at the mortuary.
