Funeral Mass will be Thursday for Dominic "Manco" A. Casaccia, 1717 Memorial Drive, Farrell. He passed
away at 10:05 p.m. Sunday (3-11-01) in UPMC Horizon, Farrell. He was 86.

Mr. Casaccia was born Jan. 25, 1915, in Farrell to Rinaldo and Caroline Menghini Casaccia. He attended schools in Farrell and retired in 1977 after 35 years from the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp.,
where he was a shot blast operator. Mr. Casaccia previously was employed by American Steel Wire, Farrell; and National Castings Division of Midland-Ross Corp., Sharon.

He was an active member of St. Adalbert's Church in Farrell, for which he made dough with the church Pierogi Club. Mr. Casaccia enjoyed cooking and baking and was well-known for his delicious pies. He also enjoyed spending time
with his brother- and sister-in-law, Tony and Helen Spanos, at their camp in Warren County. Mr. Casaccia was an avid hunter and sportsman and raised German Short-Haired Pointers.

Surviving are: his wife, the former Stella Gladysz, whom he married Sept. 18, 1937, in St. Adalbert's Church, at home; two daughters, Carole Calza; and Mrs. Mark (Marlene)
Stofan, both Shenango Township; a son, Ronald Casaccia, Farrell; a sister, Nancy Marino, Farrell; a brother,
Albert Casacia, Mercer; a grandson, Christopher Calza, Shenango Township; and a great-grandson, Mattheu Calzo, South Pymatuning Township.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Kay Marino, who died in December of 2000.
