Mrs. Arie Versteeg died at her home in this city last Friday morning, at 6.30 o'clock, of catarrh of the stomach.
The deceased was 42 years and four months old. Death came as a relief after a somewhat lingering illness. A husband, daughter and two sons are left to mourn the loss of the loving wife and mother, who have the genuine sympathy of all in this, the saddest affliction that could befall them. Mrs. Versteeg has long been a faithful member of the First Reformed church of this city, at which church the funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. van Westenberg. The remains were laid to rest in the north cemetery.
