Norbert "Norb" Moutinho died Jan. 28 in Lincoln. He was 76.
Visitation will take place from 9 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 12, at Hooper and Weaver Mortuary in Nevada City. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 12, at Hooper and Weaver Mortuary. Pastor Andy Owens will officiate. A graveside service with military honors provided by the All Veteran's Honor Guard will follow at Sierra Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Moutinho was born Jan. 17, 1932, in San Leandro to Arlindo and Altina Moutinho. He graduated from high school in San Leandro. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1955. He married Edna Moutinho on April 18, 1954, in San Leandro at the First Methodist Church.
Mr. Moutinho worked for the U.S. Forest Service as a radio communication supervisor. His final assignment was for the Tahoe National Forest in Nevada City, where he worked for over 32 years.
He was a member of the Nevada City and Sacramento Elks Lodges and enjoyed military and general aviation, model trains, baseball, NASCAR, electronics, traveling the U.S. in his RV and any activities involving his grandchildren.
Mr. Moutinho is survived by sons Doug Moutinho, of Elk Grove, Greg Moutinho, of Tahoe Vista and Glen Moutinho, of Manchester, Mich.; daughter, Sharon Cook, of Truckee; sister, Pam Mesa and grandchildren Ryan Cook, of Truckee, Katie and Brian Moutinho and Gary and Stacey Moutinho, all of Elk Grove, and Justin, Christopher and Andy Moutinho of Manchester, Mich.; Erin Moutinho, of San Francisco, and Shannon Moutinho, of Tahoe Vista.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Moutinho.
