Lifelong Resident of County Called
Mrs. Alice Scamahorn Northcutt, lifelong resident of Hendricks county, died after a two days illness, at the home of her brother, Dr. O. T. and Mrs. Scamahorn at Pittsboro, Friday evening. Last rites were at the McConnaha and Gregory Funeral Home, at Pittsboro, Sunday afternoon in charge of Rev. Kenneth Stewart, with burial in the K. of P. cemetery.
Mrs. Northcutt, age 80 years, was the eldest daughter of Walter and Ellen Scamahorn and was born west of Lizton. She attended school at the Hall school, and was a member of the Christian church and Aid society. In 1902 she married Dudley Northcutt, who preceded her 19 years ago. Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Mary Young, Pittsboro; Dee Scott of Lizton, and three brothers, Hother of Lizton, Nathan of Jeffersonville and Dr. Scamahorn, at whose home she lived.
