James H. Freed, 72, of 1744 1/2 N. Arkansas, retired from the ice cream department of Steffen's Dairy, died Thursday.
Born at Hagarville, Ark. he came to Wichita in 1943 from Sikeston, Mo.
Survivors include his widow, Ruth; three sons, Audley, U.S. Army in Germany, Clarence, in Missouri, and Loy, Saint Genevieve, Mo.; three daughters, Mrs. Verna Wilson, La Puente, Calif., Mrs. Illa Kaiser, Colorado Springs, and Mrs. Lou Alice Walls, in. California; three brothers, Arch, Russellville, Ark., David, Clarksville, Ark., and Marvin, in Missouri; and two sisters, Mrs. Sinia Kraus, Clarksville, and Mrs. Lois Stumbaugh, Lamar, Ark.
Cochran Mortuary has charge.
