Nancy Emeline Crow was born in Jefferson county, Tennessee, September 12, 1842, died November 30, 1905, aged 63 years. When ten years of age she came to Missouri with her parents. In 1865 she was married to William Thompson Conner. To this union were born seven children, all of whom survive her and were present at the funeral.
At the time of her death she was visiting her son, Russell Conner, east of Sublette about three miles. Russell and his mother were going to visit another son. She had gotten into the buggy and just as Russsel [sic] was getting in she fell over dead.
She united with the Baptist church early in life and lived a consistent christian until her death. She leaves many friends and relatives to mourn her departure.
Funeral services took place at the Fort Madison church December 2, before a large audience. Funeral service was conducted by Rev. W. R. Barnes of Kirksville, from a portion of scripture in First Thessalonians, fourth chapter and fourteenth verse. Her remains were interred in the Fort Madison cemetery.
Farewell, dear mother, may we meet again in the Eternal City of God.
