Marian E. Hagberg
Marian E. Hagberg, 73, Church Place, died Saturday, Aug. 10, 1996, in Viewcrest Nursing Center.
She was a lifelong Duluth Heights resident. She married Lowell E. Hagberg on March 4, 1938, in Duluth. She retired in 1987 from Glass Block after many years in retail sales. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. order of the eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, former Svithlad Lodge, Plus 55 Club, Duluth Heights Community Club, and Mothers Chorus. She also bowled in two leagues at Pioneer Lanes.
Her parents were Johan 'Art' and Jennie Hellstrom. Her husband, Lowell, died in 1981.
She is survived by three daughters, Sharon Neufield of Cloquet, Debra Swan of Hermantown and Pamela J. Sauve of Honolulu; a son, Jerry A. of St. Paul Park, Minn.; a brother, Donald Hellstrom of Bowling Brook, Ill.; two sisters, Gloria Streu of Duluth and Patricia Lugenbeel of Rancho Cucamonga, Ca.; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. today in Bell Brothers Chapel. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Grace Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery in Hermantown.
