- Staff Sergeant Allram participated in Action on France, Luxembourge, Belgium, Germany. He was awarded the Bronze Star, for Meritorious Service, the Purple Heart, the American and European Campaign Medals, and the Presidential Unit Citation. He was wearing the (Combat) Infantryman's Badge.
- Louis served in the 329th Infantry, 83rd Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II. Mobilized with Company I, New York National Guard, September 1940, and deployed overseas June 1944.
- Staff Sergeant Allram was Killed in Action, in Germany. He was buried in Henri-Chapelle Cemetery, in Belgium, and was the second of Olean's war dead to be repatriated in 1947.
- Surviving besides his wife (Alice Marie Phearsdorf Allram), and Parents, Mr and Mrs Charles Mark (Frances Theodora Klice) Allram, are one daughter, Joyce Ann; five sisters, Miss Grace Allram, Miss Ann Allram, Miss Joan Allram, Miss Rita Allram at home; Mrs Edward (Frances Teresa Allram) Bosier of this city (Olean).
