Margaret Stiffler passed away, at the Philipsburg State Hospital on Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, the result of complication of diseases. She had been ill only a week, and news of her demise came at great shock to her neighbors and friends. Deceased was born at Farbrook (sic - Fall Brook), in Tioga County, November 4, 1876 and came to Philipsburg with her parents in 1892. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawson Renwick now deceased. In 1900 she was united in marriage to Samuel Stiffler, who survives with these children: Margaret, Mary, Samuel, George, Robert, all at home. Brothers and sisters surviving
are: Lawson Renwick, Jack, Matthew and Thomas, Mrs. Patrick McQueenie and Mrs. John Henry, all of Chester Hill; Mrs. Robert Parks, 0sceola Mills, and Mrs. Perle Thompson, of Beaverdale. Mrs. Stiffler was a good Christian woman, devoted to her home and family and a kind neighbor and friend. She was a member of the local Lutheran church whose pastor, Rev. E. L Poe, will have charge of the funeral services from the Stiffler home Monday afternoon. Burial will be made in the Phillipsburg Cemetery.
