John H. Weary, 69, RD1 Carlisle, South Middleton Township, died Thursday evening at Carlisle Hospital.
Mr. Weary was born April 24, 1908 in North Middleton Township. He was a retired employee of International Harvester Company, York Road, Carlisle. He was a member of the South Middleton Fire Company, Kettle Creek Tamarack Sportsmans Association, Middlesex United Methodist Church, and the Adult Class of the Sunday School.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Romaine Deitch Weary; three sons, Richard Weary, RD1 Boiling Springs, John Weary Jr., 23 Mill Road, Carlisle, and Fred Weary, 113 B St., Carlisle; two daughters, Mrs. Marlin (Janet) Swarner, Plainfield, and Mrs. Ronald (Alice) Baughman, RD Carlisle; three sisters, Mrs. Earl (Mary) Hollenbaugh, ___ G St., Carlisle, Mrs. Viola Kistler, 3090 Spring Road, Carlisle, and Mrs. Inez Sheriff, RD4 Carlisle; 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Middlesex United Methodist Church with the Rev. J. Roy Bower, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Saturday evening from 7 to 9 at the G. Book Roth Funeral Home, Walnut Bottom Road at Belvedere Street, Carlisle.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund of the Middlesex United Methodist Church, 120 N. Middlesex Road, Carlisle.
