Mrs. Lucretia Bushnell of Eldred, 95, died at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 1980, at Boyd Memorial Hospital, Carrollton, after a lengthy illness. She was a retired Greene County school teacher.

Born March 15, 1884, in Saline County, Missouri, she was a daughter of Calton H. and Hulda Trusty Flatt. She married Dean F. Bushnell in 1911 and he died October 31, 1971.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Evalyn Maury of Huntsville, Alabama; a grandson, Dale Brant of Roodhouse, who was reared in the Bushnell home, and a granddaughter, Mrs. Eugene (Susan) Cebula of Huntsville, Alabama; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Ben (Evelina) Black of Eldred.

She was preceded in death by a brother and four sisters.

Mrs. Bushnell was a member of the Eldred Baptist Church and the Eldred Household Science Club.

Visitation was Friday at Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton, and the funeral was Saturday at 2 p.m., at Eldred Baptist Church with the Rev. Manerd Aden of Carrollton officiating. Rev. Selden Bernauer of Carrollton played the organ and sang "How Great Thou Art," "The Church in the Wildwood," and "Goin'Home."

Casketbearers were Tomy Handlin, Denny Newton, Jim Brannan, and Herb Geisler of Eldred, Ron Whitlock of Carrollton, and Billy Querry of Tallulah, Louisiana. Interment was in Eldred's Memorial Gaardens.
