DEATH OF AN OLD CITIZEN. - Mr. Joseph Broadhurst, died at his residence in the Western part of this county, on the 18th inst., aged 77 years. He was one of our best citizens, esteemed by all who knew him. He had been a citizen of Clay county for 45 years, and had raised a large and influential family.

Joseph Broadhurst and Dianah Faubion were married in 1815 in Tennessee and moved to Clay County, Missouri, in 1829. They had 11 children, two of whom did not live to adulthood. There are no stones in the cemetery to memorialize their final resting place.
