Miss Gladys Walker, 59-year-old Jackson parish school teacher, died early today at Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston. A lifelong resident of Jackson parish, she had taught in the public schools of Winn and Jackson parishes, and was a sister of Northeast Louisiana State College at Monroe.

Funeral services are under direction of Edmonds Funeral Home in Jonesboro, with the time indefinite at present.

Survivors are six brothers, Dr. George T. Walker of Monroe, Pyburn Walker of Hodge, L. T. [sic L. Z.] Walker of Arcadia, Stewart Walker of Winnfield, Olen Walker of Philadelphia, Pa., and Edgar Walker of Jackson, Miss.; a sister, Miss Grace Walker of the Ouachita Parish High School faculty in Monroe.
