Our dear mother, Evalyn, passed from this life at Our House in Riverton on November 8, 2010 while surrounded by her loving sons and daughter.

Born in Provo, Utah on August 25, 1916, she married to Harvey D. Cobbley, her high school sweetheart, on March 8, 1939.

She is the last of her family to return home, so there will be a huge gathering waiting to greet her. First in line will be a very impatient Harvey, wondering where the heck she's been.
Evalyn was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as Relief Society President, Visiting Teacher, and Sunday School Teacher.
Evalyn was always stylish, never a hair out of place, even at the bowling alley. Ever a lady, she never wore pants, and didn't own a pair of flat shoes- she vacationed at Lake Powell, and hiked Timpanogos in high heels.

Once we kids were out of diapers, mother went to work. She had a variety of jobs over the years- cashier at the Redwood Drive-in, checking at Chick's market and Nick & Sam's, teller at Walker Bank, and her favorite, sales clerk in ladies clothing at Halmars of Sugar House. Dad didn't like that one much- she never brought home a paycheck, just boxes.

Survived by her children, Richard (Rosie), Ronald (Jenae), Leon (Marilyn), Phyllis, and twelve grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and three and a half great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Goff Mortuary Chapel, 8090 South State Street (100 East), where a viewing will be held on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
Interment: Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
