In her will dated 15 October 1850, Greene County, Tennessee she left $2 to each of her nieces Sarah E. Easterly, Mary K. Easterly, Sarah E. Nelson, Manerva Tyler, Ann W. Gillespie, and Laura M. Gillespie. She left $2 each to her nephews Archibald D. Nelson, Robert Tyler, William Gillespie, and Thomas A. Gillespie. To her sister Judea Gillespie Easterly she left her fine yellow shawl, to her sister Martha Gillespie Tyler she left her white shawl and her piney [sic] quilt, to her sister Sarah Gillespie Nelson she left her black bobinet veil, to her sister Elizabeth Gillespie Crawford she left the remainder of her estate viz: her Negroes, bed and bedding, house and kitchen furniture, and stock except her Negro girl Milla who was left to her brother Allen H. Gillespie after four years of her labour to Elizabeth Crawford. Elizabeth appeared in court 7 July 1851 as executrix of the estate of Mary Gillespie deceased.
