James Ewell Aiken, 94, died Wednesday in Tampa, Fla., after a long illness. The Bulloch County native had lived in Lutz, Fla., for the past 44 years and was a retired citrus farmer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Lena Ruth Aiken, Lutz, Fla.; a daughter, Patricia Kerlin, Raleigh, N.C.; and two grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Middleground Primitive Baptist Church cemetery. Hodges-Turner Funeral Home.
