Mary Ella Carson Woods was born August 18, 1898 to Willie Lee Carson and Martha Cochran in Camden, Alabama. Her hobbies were cooking and gardening.
Mary ,married Elisha Edward Woods April 15, 1919 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Prichard , Alabama and they had six chilren. Edward T. passed as an infant at age 18 days. Myrtle, Warren B. Marvin E. Ralph W. and Melba Y.
Mary was a person who love the Lord and had studied for the Ministry. She also instill Godly values in her children and grandchildren. Mary grew up in Prichard , Alabama an attended Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Before she left the south in 1923 she was the church organist and also played the piano. Mary was affectionatly called Ma Me or Me Me by her grandchildren and their friends.
