James A "Jim" Blankenship, 59, of Austin IN, died Tuesday, November 2 2010 at his residence.

He was born June 13 1951 in Scott County IN to Alvin Martin Blankenship & Susie Geneva Robinson Blankenship who preceded him in death.

He was married to Evelyn Kay Moore Blankenship who survives.

Jim was retired from Cummins in Columbus IN & held memberships with Scottsburgh F&AM #572, Indianapolis Valley Scottish Rite; & Scott County Family Moose #2324.

Also surviving with his wife are daughter Kelly Blankenship; son Eric Blankenship & wife Staci; brother John Blankenship & wife Hazel; sister Reva Mae Baker & husband Earl & 3 grandchildren Jacob Bowling, Gage Bowling & Hailey Blankenship.

Visitation: 2pm-4pm, Saturday, November 6 2010, at Stewart & Hoagland Funeral Home, 80 N 1st St, Scottsburg IN. Funeral Services: 4pm, Saturday, at the funeral home with a private burial at a later date. Memorial Donations: to Hosparus, c/o the funeral home.
