Harold Wayne Austin, 67, of 307 E. Washington St., died Thursday, Nov 1, at 4:40 p.m. at the Grafton City Hospital. He was born at Berkeley Springs on Feb. 29, 1912, a son of the late George and Ollie M. Fisher Austin. Survivors: his wife, Edna Virginia Satterfield Austin; eight children, Mrs. Mary Kathryn St. Clair, of Grafton, Edward Austin, of Cleveland, Ohio, Harold L. Austin, of Grafton, William R. Austin, of Warner Robins, Georgia, Mrs. Kandy Wilcox, of Cleveland, Ohio, Gerald Phillip Austin, of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Karen Stanley, of Lost Creek, and Jack L. Austin of Grafton; four brothers, Carl Austin, of Grafton, King Austin, of New Hampshire, Junior Austin, of Parkersburg, and Charles Austin, of Grafton; two sisters, Mrs. Geneva Kholi, of Bluffton, Ohio, and Miss Marjorie M. Austin, of Morgantown; and 21 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Paul, and by one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Hamilton. He was retired. He had been employed as a truck driver for Monongahela Power Co. and as a bull dozer operator for the City of Grafton for 13 years. He was a member the Pentecostal Church.
