Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for Thomas Neely Martin at the Pleasant View Church of Christ; burial was in the Martin family cemetery.
Mr Martin died Saturday night at his home in the Nash Chapel community following a long illness. A son of Ammon and Parazettia Elrod Martin, he was a retired farmer, native of Putnam county and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs Dora Allison Martin; 4 daughters, Mrs Della Wilhite, Mrs Auda Sliger, Sparta; Mrs Dillard Anderson, Baxter; Mrs Beecher Cox, Cookeville; 5 sons, Hershel, Baxter; Hesker, Sparta; Herbert, Fort Wayne, In; Elbert, Cookeville; Oakley, Detroit.
