Dorothy W. Blewer, of North Charleston, widow of Odean B. "Red" Blewer, Sr., died November 6, 2010.

Born August 25, 1929, in Dorchester, SC, she was the daughter of the late John Thomas Whetsell and Rosa Belle Greene Whetsell.

Mrs. Blewer owned and operated Blewer's Red & White Grocery and later the "Lazy B" both located on Dorchester Road, North Charleston.

Dorothy was a member of Northwoods Assembly.

She is survived by her three children: Judy Blewer, Dean Blewer (Jane) and Cheryl Blewer all of Charleston; two sisters: Isabelle Thrower and Kay Smith both of Dorchester, SC; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Interment: Saint George Memorial Gardens, St. George, SC.
