Mrs. Dollie Arthur Reed, and infant daughters, Janet and Louise died this morning at the Linton Hospital. Death for the mother and babies followed a caesarean operation.
Mrs. Reed was born in Greene County to Granvel and Alice Bingham Arthur. She married Estel Reed on February 15, 1913. Surviving with the husband are four sons; Albert, Lloyd, Everett and Estel James, all at home; eight daughters: Mrs. Clara Voorhies of Springville, Mrs. May Voorhies of Springville, Mrs. Ora Harris of Owensburg, Ola Margaret, Maxine, Alberta, Roberta and Islet Ann, all at home; two brothers, Claude Arthur and Everett Arthur, Springville; two sisters, Mrs. Estella Walking, Newark, Indiana and Mrs. Cleta Hollars, Springville.
Two children preceded her in death. Mrs. Reed was a member of the Pentecost Church.

It turns out that there was only one baby born & died with her mother during child birth. George had always said that there were twins. After all he was only 7 when his grandmother died.
